Chances Campbell River Celebrates Grand Opening of MATCH Eatery & Public House

June 21, 2018 – Campbell River, BC – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is excited to celebrate the Grand Opening of its signature MATCH Eatery & Public House at Chances Campbell River.

Steve Shorrock, General Manager for Chances Campbell River, was joined by Gateway’s VP of Operations, Bill Stewart, and His Honorable Mayor Andrew Adams as they cut the ribbon and celebrated the opening of the exciting new restaurant.

Gateway proudly announced that the Chances employees selected Campbell River Beacon Club as the charity partner for their Grand Opening. For the remainder of June and until July 31st, portions of the site’s food and beverage sales will be donated to Beacon Club in support of the important work that they do in the community to assist individuals with mental illnesses.

The celebration heats up with the sounds of Des Larson from 6 – 8:30pm and Monkey Wrench takes the stage at 9pm.  The excitement will stretch onto the casino floor with MATCH Madness! beginning at 6pm. Enjoy sweet treats and hot seat draws every 30 minutes until midnight with over $3,000 in prizes up for grabs.

This $3.5 Million addition to Chances Campbell River, will see the eighth MATCH Eatery & Public House in BC. MATCH is also featured in Gateway’s Alberta properties and will be opening in several of its Ontario properties.

With warm woods, and fun red accents, MATCH offers guests with a casual, yet airy and electric atmosphere. Campbell River’s MATCH boasts an outdoor patio that takes advantage of its world-class setting, spectacular views, and include outdoor fire tables; allowing patrons to take in the unique Island elements in comfort and style.

All MATCH locations boast live entertainment nights; MATCH Campbell River will proudly feature the North Island’s own Monkey Wrench as one of the feature house bands: a three-piece cover band playing hits from the 70s to today.
