March 22, 2018 – Edmonton, AB – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is excited to announce that the spectacular transformation and expansion of Palace Casino to Starlight Casino Edmonton is entering the final stages of construction, with a phased opening that commenced this month with the opening of the new lobby and guest services area, The Buffet, and Nova Bar.

Located in the iconic West Edmonton Mall, the new Starlight Casino is a $57 Million renovation and expansion of the Palace Casino which includes transforming the gaming floor and the addition of VIP gaming with private salons, and an array of dining and entertainment options. It will also feature the first Pulse Arena in Western Canada, an interactive gaming area with live DJ entertainment.

The Starlight Casino brand will provide guests with the glitz, glamour and vintage feel of retro Vegas in a high energy and excited atmosphere, centered around dining, gaming and entertainment experiences. Starlight Casino will feature many of Gateway’s most successful signature restaurant brands like MATCH Eatery & Public House, ATLAS Steak + Fish, The Buffet, CHOW Lucky Noodle Bar and the debut of Gateway’s latest brand creation, Halley’s Club – a dining and entertainment club that will reinvent the classics.

Gateway has already held several job fairs in the early stages of the project but will host more job fairs March 23 and April 13 to fill jobs in a variety of food and beverage and casino positions. Gateway is excited to share that The Buffet opened to guests on February 19 and MATCH Eatery & Public House will be completed in Spring 2018. The property’s new Nova Bar, is open and servicing the casino floor and features a fun and innovative new menu. The full renovation of the casino also includes the addition of the eagerly awaited, Halley’s Club, which will be completed in Summer 2018 along with ATLAS Steak + Fish and CHOW Lucky Noodle Bar.
