Vees Partner with Gateway Casinos for Community Initiative

The Penticton Vees, in partnership with Gateway Casinos are proud to announce the creation of two community initiatives for the 2015-2016 season.

The “Gateway Casinos Community Zone” will provide local charitable groups and organizations an opportunity to watch Vees hockey from the comfort of sofas and chairs below section 115 at no charge.

“We are very excited to partner with Gateway Casinos on this initiative” said the Vees Director of Player Development and Corporate Sales David Michaud. “The Vees wanted to provide a way for as many groups as possible to enjoy our brand of hockey, and we are thankful that Gateway Casinos supported not only the Vees, but the community of Penticton.”

”As a corporate citizen for many years in Penticton, we know what the Vees mean to the community” said Michael Magnusson, General Manager at Lake City Casino. “Through our corporate giving program, Gateway GIVES, we are thrilled to create the Gateway Casinos Community Zone so that everyone can experience the excitement first hand.”

The Vees are also excited to announce that Gateway Casinos will be donating $20.00 for each goal Penticton scores at home during the 2015-2016 regular season and playoffs to the South Okanagan Medical Foundation.

“We feel like we have the kind of team that can score goals in bunches, so hopefully the players will do their part to make sure Gateway Casinos are writing a nice big cheque at the end of our season” said Michaud.

”We hope this challenge will spur the team to a record number of home game goals and that at the end of the season we can help the South Okanagan Medical Foundation get a few steps closer to their goals.” Said Magnusson
