Gateway invests $99.3 million and up to 600 jobs to Redefine Entertainment in Delta

September 13, 2022 – Delta, BC – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) today announced that Cascades Casino Delta will officially open its doors on September 29, 2022.

With 160,000 square feet of entertainment space featuring a spectacular gaming floor, exciting entertainment and culinary options to suit any taste including Gateway’s signature restaurants – The Buffet, Summit Bar and Match Eatery & Public House, which will feature a multi-season patio and the Bud Room.

Central to Gateway’s success has been the development of proprietary casino and restaurant brands.  The Cascades brand is built around the design inspiration of “Play”.  Gateway has successful Cascades properties in Chatham and North Bay, Ontario and Langley, Kamloops and Penticton, BC.

Gateway Casino’s signature restaurant brand MATCH Eatery & Public House will offer the welcoming experience of a neighbourhood pub with the high energy and excitement of a sports bar, plus live entertainment. Whether it’s the big game, a family celebration or just a so­cial gathering with friends, MATCH provides a casual, upbeat atmosphere ideal for any occasion and offers guests a casual, yet airy and electric atmosphere.  The beautiful and spacious outdoor patio also offers a multi-season dining experience with cooling mist dispensed on those hot summer days and outdoor fire pit heaters when the temperatures drop.

MATCH’s culinary team has worked to take guests on a sensory adventure. While the bever­age menu offers a selection of recognizable wines, international and local beers, and premium hand­crafted cocktails to bring the dining experience to the next level.

Grand opening festivities will start throughout the property at 11:00am and will continue all day. An official opening ceremony of the new Cascades Casino Delta is planned for 4:30pm.

To prepare for the Grand Opening, Gateway continues to focus on the hiring process in Delta.  The priority is to create a strong team to operate the gaming floor and manage the new food & beverage offerings including, but not limited to, Table Games Dealers, Slot Attendants, Cashiers & Count Team Members, Security Officer, Chefs & Cooks, Servers and Bartenders.  Hospitality and administration staff are also needed.
