Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has the privilege of operating in cities, towns, and First Nations and Métis Communities (FNMC) across Canada. As a company, we gain so much from each of these communities and believe it is our responsibility to give back, pitch in and provide support to those causes that matter most to our neighbours. We work collaboratively and strive to be educated on those issues which are important to our communities and FNMC partners. Gateway strongly believes in offering not just our resources, but also our time, our know-how and our properties in supporting local efforts in the communities where we operate.

Our team members are proud to live in the neighbourhoods and towns in which they work and are eager to give back in their own way. We support and encourage them to be actively involved in projects, causes and initiatives that aim to build stronger, healthier and more vibrant communities.
GatewayGIVES supports a wide variety of local initiatives. Last year, Gateway and its properties were pleased to donate $1 million in monetary and in-kind support as well as countless hours of volunteer time. We support a wide range of initiatives, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Dining Out For Life, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Make A Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics.

It is a tremendous gift for Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario to receive this kind of support and recognition from a company whose employees have experienced first-hand the benefits of a Ronald McDonald House and a Ronald McDonald Family Room. Last year the London house kept 1,168 families close to their sick children providing over 12,870 nights of comfort. The house gives families the gift of time- allowing them to focus all of their energy on their child, while staff and volunteers provide all the comforts of home just steps away from their sick child. Caring for the caregivers is a big part of what we do and it is the support of companies like Gateway that allow us to do this important work.
