GATEWAY CASINOS & ENTERTAINMENT IS COMMISSIONING LOCAL DELTA ARTIST TO CREATE UNIQUE ARTWORK
DELTA, BC, August 17, 2022 – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is pleased to announce they have commissioned local Delta artist, Gary Nay, to create a unique mural for the new Cascades Casino Delta.
Gary Nay offers a unique take on his surroundings. His work is thoughtful, with a great sense of play, humour and visual intellect. Nay has previously completed several public murals still on display throughout Ladner and Tsawwassen that have brought a vibrancy and sense of community to the area.
“We knew we wanted to highlight a local artist when we began our search for interesting artwork. As soon as we met Gary it was clear his style was a perfect fit with our Cascades brand,” said Tanya Gabara, Director of Public Relations at Gateway Casinos.
The Cascades brand is centered on the surrounding local elements and nature themes. The designers have taken cues from nature and redefined them to find their playful side. The overall design approach is casual and offers guests a place to relax or play, with a focus on live entertainment, sports, and gaming. We want this new property to give you the same all-senses experience when you visit us.
“I was delighted to be chosen for this project. My style is aligned with Gateway’s design principles and I am looking forward to having my work showcased in their magnificent new property,” said Gary Nay.
The one-of-a-kind mural will measure 150 square metres and is set to be unveiled in conjunction with the grand opening festivities. It will be placed in the lower entrance; where all guests will be able to enjoy it as they enter the property.
The project, set to open this fall, will feature state-of-the-art meeting and event space; exciting gaming entertainment including approximately 500 slot machines, 18 live table games, stadium-style gaming; and multiple dining options. Cascades Casino Delta will also bring up to 600 new jobs and a $99.3 million investment to the Delta economy.

About Gary Nay Art
Gary Nay is a self-taught local artist who is on the forefront of digital painting. Using an iPad as his canvas and a stylus as his brush, he creates digital images that become paintings, limited edition prints and art cards.
