June 14, 2021 – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is pleased to announce that it will re-open bingo operations at Chances Signal Point in Williams Lake on Thursday June 17th. With the health and safety of customers and employees as the top priority, the property will adhere to all public health guidelines outlined by British Columbia’s Public Health Officer (PHO), align with guidance from BCLC and implement stringent health and safety measures that have been deployed across the Gateway Casinos network.

At opening and in the coming weeks, bingo will be operating with capacity restrictions and adjusted operating hours in order to provide physical distancing of 2 meters and ensure patrons can play safely.  The Point restaurant is also open and offering a full menu of delicious eats for guests to enjoy the spectacular patio on those sunny summer days.

“We are excited to be able to re-open a portion of our gaming operations and begin to welcome back some of our team members and customers. The health and well-being of our employees and guests is our top priority,” said Tony Santo, CEO at Gateway Casinos. “We look forward to fully re-opening and welcoming more of our guests back in the future as the rest of our gaming amenities are permitted to re-open.”

Maintaining a clean environment is a year-round priority and it is regular practice to clean all hard surfaces, such as door handles and tables. Under the current environment, Gateway is being hyper-vigilant in our cleaning protocols throughout our properties to prevent the spread of transmittable illnesses, including COVID-19.

“We operate in one of the most highly regulated business environments in the province with more rigorous oversight and controls than any other business in the hospitality sector,” said Santo.  “Gateway has worked collaboratively with all levels of government, local health officials, community leaders and BCLC to build robust health and safety plans that puts in place the best protocols to ensure public health is protected for employees and customers.”
