Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Anne-Mari from BeMorr Society. We are thrilled to welcome them as a new GatewayGIVES partner. BeMorr is a non-profit organization focusing on mental health & suicide awareness.
Their Story
In 2020, after battling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety following his father’s suicide in 2013, Brook Morrison, at the age of 26, also passed away by suicide. From these tragedies, the family wanted to assist those struggling with mental health by providing financial assistance to those who cannot otherwise afford counselling. They also aim to educate youth as well as the community on mental health and how to ask for help.
