MATCH Eatery & Public House Launch Ontario Food Truck featuring Live Entertainment in Support of Make-A-Wish® Canada
Lunchtime Festivities to help Make-A-Wish Canada’s Wish Hero Campaign
September 23, 2021 – London, ON – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited (“Gateway”) is pleased to announce they have expanded their food & beverage operations to include mobile restaurant service with the launch of their “MATCH On The Move” food truck at Gateway Casinos London. This is the second food truck Gateway has opened since introducing their first mobile eatery last July in Langley, BC.
Gateway’s most successful signature food and beverage brand, MATCH Eatery & Public House (MATCH), is a contemporary themed pub that offers a great sporting and entertainment experience, with the atmosphere and comfort of a neighbourhood pub. The vision for Match On The Move is to bring the MATCH brand of pub tastes to the streets of the communities they operate with the familiarity of the bricks & mortar experience. Gateway currently operates MATCH restaurants at its casinos in Chatham, Point Edward and Sarnia, with more to come at other sites in Ontario.
The MATCH food truck menu is inspired by MATCH favorites – and will feature items such as Fish N’ Chips tacos, The Whole Hog pork belly sandwich, a Market Chicken salad and sweet treats like the Orange Creamsicle Float and S’mores Fries. MATCH On The Move will be travelling throughout southwestern Ontario this fall and will be returning next spring for a full summer season of good eats. You will find MATCH On The Move at the local hot spots around town and the truck will be available to book for private parties, community events and fundraisers.

Kicking off the launch festivities in London is former “wish kid” and now goodwill ambassador for Make-A-Wish Canada, the very talented singer/songwriter, Sarina. Her wish was granted back in 2017 when she wished to perform an original song. Since her wish coming true, her music has gained the attention of many in the industry for her soulful lyrics that are beyond her years. Sarina will be performing two songs and personally recount her medical journey back to good health and the role Make-A-Wish played in helping bring her to the live stage.
When asked about her wish experience and the impact it’s had on her life, Sarina said, “my life has forever been changed since my wish coming true. Being able to experience the magic of a wish has inspired me to continue to use my passion for music to raise money for various charities in any way possible, locally and internationally.”
Throughout the fall, GatewayGIVES – Gateway’s community and charitable giving program – is proud to fundraise for Make-A-Wish Canada, a national partner of GatewayGIVES. During the next few months, every time customers purchase the Hero Burger a donation will be made to their Wish Heroes Campaign. Gateway Casinos London will be matching all donations up to $1,000.
