“Variety – the Children’s Charity of BC is delighted to have been selected as part of Gateway Casinos’ 25 Days of Giving. Over a decade ago, Variety BC was honoured to provide a grant to a young man, whose nomination all these years later as a Gateway Casinos staff member has made this gift possible. His desire to pay forward the support he received speaks volumes about his character, and indeed this entire campaign speaks volumes about Gateway Casinos as a community leader and great corporate citizen. This $5,000 will go a long way in improving the lives of BC children and families. Thank you, Gateway, and congratulations on 25 years!” Chris Lowe, Director of Development for Variety –the Children’s Charity of BC
With the help of Variety BC, Ariel’s young son was able to receive Grants that went towards speech therapy sessions. “My family owes Variety BC a huge debt of gratitude for their assistance at a time when we needed it most. And while we strive to pay them back by signing up as one of its registered donors, we can’t think of any other group more deserving of Gateway Casinos’ $5,000 financial assistance than Variety BC.” Said Ariel Ferreros, Cage Department – Starlight Casino
“The 25 Days of Giving has been a campaign that reflects the type of organization we are as Gateway. Our company has been operating 25 years now because of the people behind it. Ariel’s story helps us to put faces on the families we help out when we support and work with our local charities. What better way to celebrate 25 years in business.” Lisa Mak, General Manager – Starlight Casino
